Safe Matrimonial Journey

Your Safety is Our Highest Sacred Duty

Finding your life partner is a momentous milestone. While 100% of verified profiles on Soulmate undergo mobile and government ID authentication, staying vigilant against fraudsters and impostors is paramount.

1 The 5 Golden Rules of Safe Matrimony

Rule #1: NEVER Send Money

Never transfer money, wire funds, share bank details, or send gifts to anyone you met online—no matter how convincing or emotional the emergency (customs duty, medical crises, stranded overseas, business loss). Genuine suitors will never ask for money.

Rule #2: Protect Personal Contact Details Early On

Use Soulmate's built-in Agora Audio and Multi-party Family Video Calling. This allows you to converse and see the suitor and their parents without revealing your personal WhatsApp number or home address prematurely.

Rule #3: Meet in Public with Family

Always arrange initial meetings in well-lit public places (restaurants, hotel lobbies, community centers) during daylight hours. Always involve your parents, siblings, or guardians. Never agree to meet in isolated or private locations alone.

Rule #4: Conduct Customary Verification

Independently verify workplace, education, residential address, and family credentials. Ask for mutual references through community circles, relatives, or professional background verification agencies before making wedding commitments.

  • Refuses video calls or repeated excuses that their camera is broken.
  • Pressures you to move communication immediately off the platform before mutual comfort.
  • Claims to have sent expensive jewelry or parcels stuck at Indian customs and asks you to pay release fees.
  • Mentions, discusses, or subtly solicits dowry expectations.

3 How to Report Suspicious Behavior

If you encounter any suspicious activity, dowry requests, or harassment, act immediately:
