We treat candidate personal data, astrological coordinates, family background, and photographs with extreme reverence and institutional-grade security.
This Privacy Policy governs your use of the Soulmate Matrimony website, progressive web app, and official iOS and Android native applications. It transparently explains how we collect, process, protect, and delete your personal information in strict adherence to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and global standards including GDPR.
2 Categories of Information Collected
Full legal name, verified mobile phone number (via SMS OTP), email address, encrypted password hash, and unique Member ID.
Gender, exact date of birth, time & city of birth (for Kundali calculations), mother tongue, religion, caste/sub-caste, gotra, marital status, diet, family values, and education.
Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License. Document copies are stored in an encrypted vault exclusively to confirm identity and deter fake profiles or marriage fraud.
Uploaded profile photos. You retain full control to set privacy: Public, Blur-till-Accepted, or Manual Request. Watermarked dynamically with Member ID to prevent screenshot theft.
Photo Privacy Shield & Anti-Screenshot Watermark Architecture
Unlike social media platforms, Soulmate Matrimony enforces cryptographic server-side photo protection:
- Blur-till-Accepted: Photos are rendered with a 20-pass Gaussian blur until you explicitly accept mutual interest or grant access to the specific suitor.
- Dynamic Anti-Screenshot Watermarking: Every viewable photo is dynamically stamped with your Member ID and viewer audit trail to deter unlawful screenshots and protect women and families from non-consensual image distribution.
- Private Access Grant: Candidates must submit a formal access request, which you can approve or decline at your discretion.

- In-App Agora Audio & Family Conference Calling: Generating secure, ephemeral tokens for candidate-to-candidate and parent-to-parent calls without exposing personal phone numbers.
- Trust & Fraud Prevention: Automated anomaly detection against catfishing, impersonation, romance scams, and dowry solicitation.
- Zero Third-Party Advertising: We never sell, rent, or trade your contact information or personal biodata to third-party ad brokers or marketing syndicates.
4 Your Rights: Stealth Mode & Right to Deletion
In compliance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play Account Deletion Policy, you possess unconditional ownership of your account and data:
Temporarily hide your profile from search results while preserving your messages and shortlists.
Permanently delete your profile, photos, KYC documents, and conversation history at any time.
